As General Contractor for the South Okanagan Events Centre, Wheelwright Group delivered a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena designed to serve as a premier entertainment and sports destination for the region.

Built to accommodate professional hockey, concerts, and large-scale community events, the facility required precise coordination across structural, mechanical, and event-driven infrastructure systems.

 

The arena officially opened to the public in September 2008 and remains a central hub for the City of Penticton. The project reflects Wheelwright’s ability to execute large, community-focused builds with discipline, clarity, and long-term performance in mind.
